Company Profile
DEC, an abbreviation of DEME Environmental Contractors, was formed following the merger between the companies Silt (sediment and sludge processing), Soils (soil and groundwater remediation), Bitumar (waterworks and landfill technology) and OEC (overseas environmental contractors).
The original companies were founded in 1980 under the auspices of DEME, the parent company of Dredging International and Decloedt Dredging. In 2000, the decision was made to combine the knowledge, technology and experience into one company to be able to guarantee optimum service.
