The DEME-Group
DEC is part of the DEME group. DEME is an abbreviation of Dredging, Environmental and Marine Engineering and is a Belgian holding company that carries out an extensive range of marine and environmental activities.
The DEME group, in cooperation with the Wallonian finance company Ecotech Finance, formed the holding Ecoterres Holding. The companies within Ecoterres Holding are jointly responsible for all the environmental activities within the DEME group.
DEC is active the world over with afilliates and subsidiaries in Brussels and Wallonia (Ecoterres), France (Extract-Ecoterres) and the Netherlands (de Vries & van de Wiel).
DEME strives to create synergy between all the companies within the group. DEC utilises this synergy to offer clients greater know-how and experience for complex and multi-disciplinary projects.
Recently, a well-conceived joint venture was set up between DEC, Ecoterres and Extract-Ecoterres. Accordingly, both companies can call upon each other's expertise at any time and for any project.
