Project Manager European Environmental Sites
As environmental sites project manager you are responsible for following up on one or more remediation projects simultaneously both in Belgium and abroad. You are responsible for their execution and their budgetary, contractual and commercial aspects.
You organise work meetings with the client (usually a public authority) and implement the project in accordance with the specifications and the contractual conditions. Furthermore, you have an eye for efficiency improvement and work in close cooperation with the support services.

As project engineer for DEC you will work on the preparation and execution of our environmental projects both in Belgium and abroad. You will monitor the progress of the project, assist in the coordination of the works on site, and optimize and correct whenever necessary. In conjunction with the Technical Manager you will be responsible for the technical support and follow-up of our environmental sites, remediation plants and workshops. You are the person who translates the project managers’ ideas into technically feasible solutions.
You are also responsible for the planning, coordination and follow-up of the mobilization and demobilization of equipment for our projects, both in Belgium and abroad.
Land Surveyor - Project Engineer
You prepare the operational execution of the works, carry out their daily follow-up and optimize the on-site production. You report to the project engineer or the project manager on a daily basis. In your role of surveyor, you are responsible for the building grid, data processing and reporting, as well as for the volume calculations on the site.

You will work on DEC’s mobile physical-chemical soil washing plant, which is deployed mainly in the UK, Ireland and Scandinavia and you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the plant. You will attend to the satisfactory functioning of the soil washing plant (pumps, conveyor belts, metering installations, etc.) and you will make adjustments to the soil washing process. You will take the necessary steps should anything go wrong and you will be responsible for the mechanical and electrical maintenance and repairs of the plant.

Together with your colleagues you will be responsible for the construction, operation and maintenance of water treatment plants, mechanical dewatering plants, soil washing plants, and similar on our sites throughout the Flemish region.
If you are interested in working abroad, you can ask to be sent to one of our sites in the UK, Ireland or Scandinavia, either for a short or longer period of time.
Draughtsperson
As draughtsperson you provide support to the engineers of the Engineering Service. You will make 2D and 3D design drawings at the start of the design phase as well as detailed 2D and 3D drawings for construction purposes. The subjects are extremely varied and include the many installations used for the advanced environmental techniques that DEC has built its name on.
