Taking into account the emission of sulphur dioxide and the presence of unexploded ordnance from World War II, DEC is treating all the acid tar present on the site. DEC designed and constructed a specific plant on the site.

Antwerp-Dam: old railway yard to become new city park (Belgium)
As part of a large scale upgrading of the districts of Antwerp Dam, Seefhoek and Stuivenberg, DEC is cleaning up the railway yard at Antwerp Dam, so it can be transformed into a large new city park.

Remediation of the illegal dump Terra Cotta in Brecht (Belgium)
For the remediation of this illegal dump, as much material as possible was recuperated from the disposal site. Thanks to this environmentally friendly approach, DEC received the industry’s environmental prize for waste recovery for this project.
