Projects, contacts and contracts
The department is mainly geared towards the development of new activities, the extension of activities into new regions and the negotiation of long-term strategic agreements. To this end, it identifies niches, partners and opportunities, handles the financial and economic analysis of a project and negotiates and drafts contracts. In addition, the department also provides important legal and financial support in project acquisition.
Financial, legal and technical competence centre
The department forms an important competence centre for financial/economic, legal/contractual and technical/operational support to the company and the projects, whether or not they are already underway.
In particular, it is occupied with the accounts:
- Of significant magnitude;
- That are expected to have a long run-up;
- With a clear strategic added value;
- In which different players are involved (or can be).
Independent but also supporting
Our Business and Project Development department can work fairly independent at first, thanks to its structure with staff trained in both economics and technology.
On the other hand, the Business Development department is also available to other staff at home and abroad, particularly for projects that require specific support at the strategic, financial or contractual level. The department also offers broad support to the other environmental companies within the DEME group: Ecoterres, Extract-Ecoterres, de Vries & van de Wiel and GRC.
