At all stages in the design, development and implementation of remediation projects, the support of a reliable Technical Department is crucial. For this reason DEC has invested heavily in recent years in highly qualified personnel as well as top of the range plant and equipment.

Technical Support from Project Initiation to Completion

The Technical Department is involved closely in projects, starting with the tender stage and continuing through to the completion of the project. The Technical Department continually monitors technical matters specific to the project and strives to optimise equipment and processes.

The Technical Department is also responsible for the design and construction of new equipment along with the maintenance of existing plant. The fabrication yard and warehouse at our base in Belgium provides the necessary equipment to projects all over the world.

Project and Maintenance Engineers

A fleet of Project Engineers and Maintenance Engineers are available within the Technical Department for regular monitoring and maintenance of our very specialised equipment.

Technical Department and Research & Development

For complex projects, the Technical Department works hand in hand with the Research & Development Department to ensure that a remediation concept is in place that will comply with the requirements of the project. This will often involve the design of bespoke processes or items of equipment many of which have been patented.

What if something goes wrong?

Thanks to the in-built telemetry on our equipment regular feedback is provided to the technical department. In the even that a malfunction occurs, the data can be rapidly analysed by the technical department and the project manager and this ensures that the problem can be solved in a time efficient manner.

Depending on the nature of the malfunction, a specialist technician may be dispatched to the site to carry out any necessary repairs or modifications.
